How To: Install WordPress in Our System

WordPress is a Content Management System (CMS), which is used to setup a blog or website without any coding knowledge More over wordpress is a open source, we can modify wordpress’s php functionality. WordPress setup files are available in www.wordpress.org . By using wordpress plugins, we can make any kind of functionalists (like quiz, member login, signup, etc) without any coding knowledge. Ready made templated also available in affordable cost and also in free download.

Needs to be considered, before installing wordpress.

  • PHP, Mysql
  • Apache
  • XAMPP (or) WAMP

1. Download and Create WordPress Configuration file

Download the latest wordpress setup file from www.wordpress.org . Extract the wordpress RAR file, move to LOCALHOST and navigate to the wordpress extracted folder. After we navigate to the wordpress folder, an option will be shown to create configuration file.

 

2. create Database

After creating the configuration file, we have to create database and that database name should be provided for configuration.

 

3. Give Database username, password and wordpress username, password

Give database username, password and database host.

 

4.  Run the install

Then click, Run the install.

5. Give site details

Give the site name, username and password for login. Also give email, which will be used when admin forgets the login details.

6. Go to admin page.
